Facebook has two methods of sharing. The “Sharer” link is simple but the preferred Facebook way is using the Share Dialog. This method does require an app id but offers more flexibility.

How to add addthis to wordpress menu without native plugin

This is a fast and short tutorial about how to add “addthis dropdown menu” to wordpress native menu without “addthis wordpress plugin”

I assume you already have the code from http://www.addthis.com/ and you manually added the the given codes to your wordpress website but not sure about how to add the “addthis dropdown menu” to your wordpress website like the image before? Then this tutorial is for you …please keep reading!!

essGo to Dashboard->Appearance->Menus. You can see “Custom Links” like the screenshot on the left. On the URL section write “http://www.addthis.com/bookmark.php” and on the “Link Text” section write “SHARE” then click Add the Menu. You will see the menu is added on the right side like my screenshot below.

This step is important on the “CSS Classes(optional)” section write “addthis_button” it will add the class that needs to operate with the addthis api and save you menu. You can see now on your menu on your main website; when you hover SHARE a dropdown menu appears kust like above screenshot.

Is WIX using WordPress to power their official blog ? ….maybe Yes

I am not a Wix user but I just came noticed they are using WordPress plugins like Yoast SEO and other plugins on their official blog post’s http://www.wix.com/blog/2016/04/why-online-bookings-help-you-sleep-better-at-night/ source code. But I am not 100% sure as it seems like they are trying to hide WordPress. I also checked with popular chrome extension web technology detector Wappalyzer and it shows Wix but not WordPress. Anyway they devised a brilliant way to use WordPress and goes undetected, this is very surprising for me as I assumed has their own blogging system.
